Austin- not sure why you're getting that, but try different settings. 1) use physical camera. 2) turn on GI (global illumination) if it isn't on. use irradiance map as primary driver and quazi-monte carlo as 2nd. in the environment tab, click the little 'm,' select 'sun' from the drop down list, and set the light source to your sun. (for both, you'll see what i mean).
and don't render such hi-res images while you're still testing. it's a waste of time. i will show this process in detail on monday, including how to render a small test image, then use the settings to render large without re-running the whole calculation again.
